A new Elden Ring game is coming very soon but it’s not what you think | Gaming | Entertainment
A new version of Elden Ring Nightreign is launching in 2026, but not on PlayStation, Xbox or PC.
Intsead, the new Elden Ring Nightreign game is a tabletop RPG developed by Group SNE.
While little is known about how the game will play, fans won’t have to wait very long before being able to play it.
The Elden Ring Nightreign tabletop RPG has been given a spring 2026 release date, which means fans should be able to get their hands on it in the coming months.
Unfortunately, however, the game has currently only been announced for Japan, although judging by the reaction to previous FromSoftware board game adaptations, it would prove popular in the US and Europe.
The developer of the tabletop RPG has a good record in the space, having previously created the Sword World RPG, which is hugely popular in Japan.
In the meantime, fans of FromSoftware Games can pick up adaptations of Bloodborne, Elden Ring and Dark Souls.
As for the Elden Ring Nightreign video game, the title tasks players with outlasting a three day-and-night cycle, culminating in a boss battle at the end of the adventure.
It’s described as a “condensed action RPG”, where players will never experience the same journey twice.
There’s a roguelike element to the game, with players earning relics to to customise and upgrade their characters for future runs and increase stats.
The action is also limited to a version of Elden Ring starting area Limgrave, although it looks like the locations will shift during each playthrough.
