The bottom half depicts the same scene, but with the men edited out, alongside the caption: “Continuing the Passover cleanings – crushing the Iranian enemy.” This comes after the Israel Defence Forces (IDF) said it killed Asghar Bagher, the commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps’ (IRGC) undercover expeditionary unit, in a strike on Tehran.

Bagheri led the Quds Force’s Special Operations Unit since 2019, and according to the IDF, was involved in attacks targeting Israelis and Americans. They believe he planned attacks inside Israel, Syria and Lebanon.

There were attacks on Mehrabad, Bahram, and Azmayesh airports. The Israeli military said aircraft carrying weapons and cash were departing from Mehrabad Airport to be used by Iranian proxies in the Middle East.

In another strike on Iranian infrastructure, the IDF attacked the South Pars gas complex on Monday, according to the Israeli defence minister.

Israel Katz said the military “just carried out a powerful strike on the largest petrochemical facility in Iran”.

Two companies that supply petrochemical plants at the site with electricity, water, and oxygen were targeted, according to Iranian state media, but the plant itself did not sustain any damage.
