Trump lashes out at Iran after huge update on US rescued pilot – ‘crazy b*****ds’ | World | News
Donald Trump has provided a new update on the successful rescue operation carried out by the US military. Early on Sunday morning, the US President announced on Truth Social the missing pilot of the F-15 jet downed by Iran on Friday had been rescued and pulled out of the country.
In a second message on the matter shared shortly before 1pm BST, Mr Trump provided a health update of the crew member. He wrote on the social media platform: “We have rescued the seriously wounded, and really brave, F-15 Crew Member/Officer, from deep inside the mountains of Iran.
“The Iranian Military was looking hard, in big numbers, and getting close. He is a highly respected Colonel. This type of raid is seldom attempted because of the danger to ‘man and equipment’. It just doesn’t happen!
“The second raid came after the first one, where we rescued the pilot in broad daylight, also unusual, spending seven hours over Iran. An AMAZING show of bravery and talent by all.”
The US President added he will deliver a news conference on Easter Monday, at 1pm ET (6pm BST).
The message on the rescue operation was quickly followed by another post, this time taking aim at Iran.
Referring to the 48-hour deadline he set on Saturday, Mr Trump demanded once again for the Strait of Hormuz to be reopened. He wrote: “Tuesday will be Power Plant Day, and Bridge Day, all wrapped up in one, in Iran. There will be nothing like it!!!
“Open the F*****’ Strait, you crazy b*****ds, or you’ll be living in Hell – JUST WATCH!”
