Tiger Woods is the proud owner of a lavish mansion valued at an eye-watering £41million. The 15-time major champion also has a £15m superyacht moored at his very own dock, situated adjacent to his private golf course. Woods has recently made headlines after crashing and overturning his car close to his home last week. His subsequent arrest for driving under the influence has forced him to step back from golf for a period while he undergoes treatment and recovery.

Woods will now have the opportunity to recuperate at his property, which sits on the waterfront of the prestigious Jupiter Island neighbourhood in Florida. The area is home to just under 900 residents, making it one of the most exclusive enclaves in the state. Woods has resided in the property since it was constructed in 2011, though prior to the mansion being built, a 9,000-square-foot house occupied the plot.

However, the five-time Masters champion had that modest dwelling demolished to make way for a 26,000-square-foot colossus that is divided into two sections.

The property consists of a 12,000-square-foot main residence and a 14,000-square-foot multipurpose building, linked by a striking glass-covered walkway. Remarkably, Woods himself had little appreciation of just how vast his home was until he spent an extended period there recuperating from a car accident in 2021.

“I built a really nice house, but I didn’t realise how big it was until you start putting crutches on,” he said in a press conference. The main section boasts four generously proportioned bedroom suites, expansive living areas, a wine cellar, and a dining room complete with an impressive fireplace.

The second building houses a putting green, a cutting-edge gym, a 100-foot swimming pool, a 60-foot diving pool, oxygen therapy rooms and a private cinema. In total, the golf star’s property spans a remarkable nine acres and includes a guesthouse, a garage, two private docks for large vessels, as well as a 3.5-acre golf course.

Describing his daily routine while at home, Woods previously told the Golf Channel: “Well, I used to get up in the morning, run four miles, then I’d go to the gym, do my lift.

“Then I’d hit balls for two to three hours. I’d go play, come back, work on my short game. I’d go run another four more miles, and then if anyone wanted to play basketball or tennis, I would go play basketball or tennis. That was a daily routine.”

The sporting legend purchased his yacht in 2004 for around £15m. Aptly christened ‘Privacy’, it was crafted by Christensen Shipyards, a highly regarded and prestigious American boat builder.

Privacy is an impressive 155 feet in length and accommodates up to 10 guests across its five bedrooms, not including the crew’s quarters. Woods has a crew of nine, each with their own private cabin. The 50-year-old can also unwind in his hot tub, which is large enough to accommodate eight people and sits on the top deck.

A fully stocked bar and a well-equipped gym are just two of its many amenities, and Woods is said to shell out around £1.5m annually to keep the vessel running. These yearly costs cover fuel, crew wages, upkeep, docking fees, and yacht insurance.

He has also used it to arrive in style at the 2018 U.S. Open at Shinnecock Hills and the 2019 PGA Championship at Bethpage Black, both in New York.

Woods broke his public silence on his most recent incident on Tuesday evening, writing on X: “I am stepping away for a period of time to seek treatment and focus on my health. This is necessary in order for me to prioritise my well-being and work toward lasting recovery.

“I’m committed to taking the time needed to return in a healthier, stronger and more focused place, both personally and professionally. I appreciate your understanding and support, and ask for privacy for my family, loved ones and myself at this time.”
