PS Plus April 2026 free PS5 games reveal date, time and leaked line-up | Gaming | Entertainment
Sony is just hours away from revealing the PlayStation Plus free PS5 games for April 2026. The next batch of PS Plus Essentials will be announced at 4.30pm BST UK time on the afternoon of April 1. That’s 8.30am PST / 11.30am EST for fans living in the US, and 5.30pm CET for European subscribers. Fans will have to wait another week before the games are actually available to download and play, with the new releases joining the service on the morning of April 7.
Needless to say, despite the official announcement taking place on April 1, some of the games appear to have leaked ahead of schedule.
The game features a unique dual-world mechanic where players enter a parallel world to overcome obstacles.
It also features the same challenging enemy encounters and tough boss battles you would expect from a Soulslike.
The multiplayer action game is based on the popular Japanese series of the same name.
The game features 21 characters from the Sword Art Online series, each with their own unique roles and abilities. It features a single-player campaign with an original story, as well as co-op multiplayer, boss raid mode, and Free Roam.
At least one more game will be announced by Sony on April 1, assuming it doesn’t leak ahead of the big reveal.
Sony has recently been in the habit of adding four games to PS Plus each month.
The current line-up, for example, includes PGA Tour 2K25, Slime Rancher 2, Monster Hunter Rise and The Elder Scrolls Online Collection: Gold Road.
The games are available until April 7, so make sure you redeem them before time runs out.
