Marks and Spencer shoppers have praised a pair of trousers that come in at under £20 for being “super easy to wear”. The high street store has plenty of options when it comes to trousers, yet one pair stands out for thousands of customers.

The Jersey Wide Leg Trousers with Stretch are Marks and Spencer’s second bestseller at £19.50, with over 100 sold in the past five days. They come in three different colours: black, dark chocolate and dark navy. Plus, a range of sizes is on offer.

The popular trousers come in sizes from a size six to a size 24, and have a range of leg lengths. Shoppers can choose from extra short, short/petite, regular, long and extra long.

Many customers say the trousers fit true to size and have heaped on the praise. Marks and Spencer’s description reads: “These jersey trousers from our M&S Collection are made for effortless style and all-day comfort.

“The loose, wide leg cut creates a flattering silhouette, while the high elasticated waist offers a secure and comfortable fit. Made from soft jersey fabric with a hint of stretch, they’re perfect for casual days when you want to relax and look put-together with minimal effort.”

The trousers are made of 67% viscose, 30% polyester and 3% elastane. One impressed shopper said: “Fabulous high rise, wide leg trousers. Very comfortable, pull on elsticated waist. Perfect sizing.”

Another added: “Great smart casual trousers at a good price. Long was a perfect length for me at nearly 5ft 11. Really comfy to wear too!”

Someone else commented: “Comfortable wide leg trousers. Do not crease. Perfect for general use, particularly when travelling.” A fourth wrote: “Very comfortable and great fit! For work and everyday.”

Despite many customers’ love for the trousers, some didn’t like that they do not have pockets. Others found the trousers to be too wide for them, as one said: “Lovely fabric but too wide and too long. Will return.”

Marks and Spencer isn’t the only high street store to sell wide-leg jersey trousers. New Look’s Jersey Wide Leg Trousers come in black, brown and burgundy. They were priced at £16.99, but are currently 25% off.
