Evidence the Noah’s Ark story in the Bible is true may have been found in Iraq, according to a documentary.

The biblical tale describes how two of every kind of animal are saved from floods by a massive ship.

However, the Genesis narrative also continues to describe how humans, following the flood, began to construct the Tower of Babel.

This enormous structure is used to explain the origin of diverse human languages.

The story tells of how, in an attempt to disrupt the construction of the tower, which the Babylonians claimed could reach the heavens, God confused the languages of the workers so they could no longer communicate.

The tower was never finished and people were scattered across the globe.

Now, the Bible Conspiracies documentary suggests a discovery in the Babylon Province of Iraq aligns with the story.

The presenter details how archaeologists believe the remains match the description of the famous tower, due to the discovery of a series of cylinders surrounded by burnt bricks, as reported by the Daily Star.

“The investigation goes on to explain how the Bible says the structure would later be destroyed by angels under God’s orders.

“Many believe the tower was destroyed by God, but the text actually tells us it was a strange race, referred to as the Anunnaki.

“These Anunnaki were described as coming from the heavens, sent to guide humans.

“In times past they were called angels, but today we might call them aliens.”

Bible Conspiracies has received 2.5 stars and is available to watch free for subscribers of the paid streaming service.

The documentary also suggests the genuine son of God was not Jesus, but rather a Greek philosopher.

The 67-minute programme states: “Hidden in the Bible are ancient secrets.

“The marriage of Jesus and Mary and their children; the destruction of the tower of Babel by an alien race called the Anunnaki, and the hidden code that holds the revelation about future events.”

Among the assertions is that Jesus has been conflated with a Greek philosopher who lived during the same era.

Accounts shared in the Bible regarding Jesus’ life, and the miracles he performed in the New Testament, may have been confused with Preacher Apollonius of Tyan.

The series suggests Apollonius gained prominence, establishing a religious following as he preached and performed miracles.

It states: “There is, in fact, a man who can be found in text outside of the Bible after the church failed to eradicate him from history.

“His name is Apollonius and he was born in the 3rd or 4th year BC in Tyana in Cappadocia, Anatolia.

“He became a disciple of Pythagoras renouncing flesh, wine and women.

“He wore no shoes and let his hair and beard grow long.

“He reportedly restored life to the dead and spoke of things beyond the human reach.

“And, unlike Jesus, there is evidence to prove that Apollonius actually existed.”

Over half of all customers reviewing the programme awarded it one star, the lowest rating possible.
