Virgin Media offers up to £250 credit for Premier League package | Football | Sport

Virgin Media is offering sports enthusiasts up to £250 when they transfer to one of its television packages this month. This enables supporters of the Premier League, Formula 1, rugby, darts and beyond to sidestep forthcoming price increases introduced by competing providers and secure a £250 switching credit.

The offer is accessible with Virgin’s £52.99 Sport bundle, delivering over 200 channels plus nine from Sky Sports including Main Event and F1. Through this, subscribers can access Sky’s complete coverage of the concluding stage in the Premier League, every Grand Prix weekend, plus the Carabao Cup final and The Masters.

Customers obtaining this promotion will also gain a complimentary Netflix subscription and 516Mbps fibre broadband, with Sky Atlantic scheduled to be incorporated from April 1. New Virgin subscribers registering for the deal can receive a bill credit of up to £250 to offset early termination charges levied by their existing provider, potentially delivering several months of complimentary service.

This grants entry to Sky’s continuously expanding catalogue of over 1,000 films on-demand. All of these perks are also featured with the £76.99 Max Volt bundle, which Virgin maintains is its most competitive package. What distinguishes this from more affordable alternatives is its exceptionally quick 1,130Mbps broadband, together with over 230 TV channels, Sky Sports, Sky Cinema and Netflix. Additionally, Volt Max members receive an O2 SIM card offering unlimited data, minutes and texts at no additional charge.

With every Virgin sport package, there’s an opportunity to include extras such as TNT Sports for £25. This represents better value than subscribing directly with the broadcaster at £30.99 per month.

An important factor to weigh up when making the switch is that Virgin has announced its prices won’t increase in April, with its rates now fixed for 12 months. Nevertheless, a drawback is that customers will still encounter a bill rise in April 2027, when monthly charges go up by £4.

Virgin’s Sport package competes with Sky’s own offerings, such as the £35 Essential TV and Sky Sports bundle. Whilst more budget-friendly than Virgin, Sky’s package comes with fewer perks, featuring approximately 100 fewer channels and no broadband included.

To secure Virgin’s £250 switching offer, customers must enter their postcode on the website to verify they’re covered and select their package. They can then complete checkout using the One Touch Switch, which enables Virgin to finalise the transfer without the customer needing to contact their existing provider.

After everything is confirmed, Virgin will communicate how to claim the switching credit, which will be applied as a bill credit. It’s important to note the sum available depends on the termination fee charged by the current provider.
