Horror fans must rush to Netflix to watch a masterpiece horror film that fans have called perfect and will be remembered for centuries after its release. The 2017 film, which went viral upon release, is currently available to watch on Netflix, but subscribers only have until March 18 to do so, as it will be removed from the streaming platform after then.

Get Out, a psychological horror, became a cultural phenomenon and remains a favourite among many. The synopsis on Rotten Tomatoes reads: “Now that Chris and his girlfriend, Rose, have reached the meet-the-parents milestone of dating, she invites him for a weekend getaway with Missy and Dean.

“At first, Chris reads the family’s overly accommodating behaviour as nervous attempts to deal with their daughter’s interracial relationship, but as the weekend progresses, a series of increasingly disturbing discoveries leads him to a truth that he never could have imagined.”

The unique film by Jordan Peele has an impressive 98% score on Rotten Tomatoes and is highly praised by not only viewers but also critics.

Sydney Morning Herald branded the film as a “game-changer”, while The New York Review of Books said that the “semi-parodic horror film Get Out has a complexity worthy of its historical moment”.

Similarly, one viewer, who rated it five out of five stars, said, “We will remember this movie centuries from now” after describing the film as “original” and said it was “executed so well”.

Another person wrote: “Pretty much a perfect film, it’s honestly hard to see a reason to give it less than five stars. It’s funny when it needs to be and scary when it has to be. The concept is awesome and the racial themes are so well executed.”

The film was labelled as “so iconic” by a fan who said Get Out made them start watching horror movies.

One fan, who rewatched the film earlier this year, said: “I still say to this day that Get Out is an absolute psychological masterpiece. The message hits quietly at first, then builds perfectly throughout each scene.”

Many people said the film is one that “deserves multiple watches” and shared that they have, in fact, watched it “countless times” since its release.
