Donald Trump once again sparked major health concerns after the US President made a humiliating blunder while talking about his family. The US President was in conversation with German Chancellor Friedrich Merz at the White House on Tuesday, where he reportedly made a “false claim” about his father’s place of birth.

Speaking to the German Chancellor, the US President said: “…that country, UK..I love that country. I love it. My mother was born there, my father was born — he knows all about my father — my father was born there. These are places you automatically feel warmly about. The UK, what they are doing with energy and what they are doing about Immigration is horrible…” The comment from the US President immediately caught the attention, with social media users talking about his health.

Mehdi Hasan, British-American broadcaster and journalist wrote on X: “Imagine if Joe Biden had forgotten where his own dad was born. By the way, this isn’t the first time that Trump has falsely claimed his dad was born in Germany when he was actually born in New York.

The 25th Amendment outlines how presidential power is transferred if a president dies, resigns, is removed, or becomes unable to perform the duties of the office, and Donald Trump has recently denied reports questioning his health, insisting he is in “perfect” condition.

Recent reports have prompted speculation about President Trump’s health after observers noted bruising on his hands and instances where he appeared fatigued.

Mr Trump has firmly dismissed these concerns, insisting that his health is “perfect.” He explained that the marks on his hands are simply the result of taking daily aspirin rather than any underlying medical issue.

He told the Times: “There are a number of dangers. I mean, one is that there are increasing signs of dementia and his entourage are totally incapable of controlling him.

“Thank God, he’s now having to pull back on ICE [Immigration and Customs Enforcement] in Minnesota, because obviously the strategy was ready to create an insurrection so that he can use it in the midterms — or as an excuse to cancel the midterms.”

Several experts also believe that the US President is projecting that he’s actually anxious someone is going to invoke the 25th Amendment and remove him from office on mental capacity grounds.
