Argos code gets you a Samsung Galaxy phone for £112, no wonder it’s selling fast
Samsung will announce its shiny new Galaxy S26 range of devices tomorrow, Wednesday, February 25, but if a flagship device sounds a bit pricey, there is a much cheaper option. Argos is currently running its Big Red event, and one deal that has caught our eye is offering the Samsung Galaxy A16 for under £115. This phone is usually priced at £139.99, but thanks to a special code, the cost can be cut to just £112.
Sound enticing? All you have to do is punch in the code RED20 at the checkout and you’ll get 20 percent off the original cost.
It’s a deal that beats both Amazon and Samsung, with those two stores stocking the Galaxy A16 for the standard price.
So, what do you get for your money? To be clear, this is not a high-end device that’s aimed at gaming or speedy video editing. It’s a more budget-friendly call maker but still packs a decent punch.
Owners will be treated to a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED screen with toughened glass, decent battery life and an octa-core processor.
It also features a triple lens camera and 128GB of internal storage.
One thing it doesn’t include is any access to 5G, with the device only compatible with slower 4G mobile technology.
Full details will be released during the firm’s Unpacked event in San Francisco, but we expect three devices to be showcased, including a standard model, bigger plus version and ultimate Ultra model.
Upgrades could include faster processors, better cameras, longer battery life and improved AI capabilities.
Express.co.uk is heading to Unpacked and will bring you all the news live as it happens.
The event kicks off from 6pm GMT, so watch this space.
