Virgin Media will give you £250 when you sign up to its ‘lowest price’ broadband
If you are not pleased with your current broadband plan and provider, Virgin Media has just given you two tempting reasons to switch to its service. The firm is offering up to £250 in bill credit when you sign up to one of its many broadband packages, and to sweeten the deal, says some of these packages are being offered at their “lowest ever price”.
Not only that, but Virgin Media is even guaranteeing that the cost of your bills won’t rise in 2026, foregoing the usual April price rise – meaning your monthly bill won’t rise by a set amount until April 2027.
Virgin Media said it will offer new customers up to £250 in bill credit, though this is based on how much those customers will potentially have had to have paid in early termination fees to leave their previous broadband provider.
All you need to do is sign up to a new Virgin Media service between February 16, 2026 and April 1, 2026.
If you aren’t happy with your current service and want to leave, but you’re still in contract, you’ll be charged a termination fee. Depending on how much this is, Virgin is offering to offset the cost by applying up to £250 in credit to your new Virgin Media account. So, while you won’t get the sign up bonus in cash, it will bag you several months free broadband service once you’ve switched.
The cheapest package to which this deal applies is the M125 Fibre Broadband plan at £23.99 per month with no set fee. If you can claim the full £250, it would get you ten months of this service free of charge.
“To unlock the bill credit, eligible customers simply need to submit a claim within 60 days of activating their Virgin Media service and provide a final bill from their previous provider which shows the disconnection fee,” Virgin Media explained. “This bill must be dated within 30 days of the customer’s Virgin Media order. Those who switch will receive an email within 48 hours of placing their order, explaining how to check their eligibility for the bill credit offer.”
Virgin Media said the credit is capped at the value of your early termination fee up to £250 – whichever is lower.
All the eligible packages are 24-month contracts with no setup fee, with stated price rises in April 2027. These packages include M250 Fibre Broadband at £25.99 per month, blazing fast Gig1 Fibre Broadband at £33.99 per month and even Virgin’s Sport bundle that includes 516Mbps broadband, more than 200 TV channels with a Netflix subscription and Sky Sports, all for £52.99 per month.
You can view all the eligible broadband options on Virgin Media’s website.
Signing up to a Virgin Media deal also gets you the enviable perk of having access to O2 Priority, the reward platform from O2. This is thanks to Virgin Media O2 merging and being part of the same parent company, so you can get discounts, vouchers and access to early gig tickets at O2 venues through your Virgin Media account login, even if your phone plan is not with O2.
