Piers Morgan drops Andrew and Mandelson bombshell after ‘greatest royal scandal’ | Celebrity News | Showbiz & TV

He was reportedly driven 132 miles to Sandringham in darkness yesterday evening to avoid being seen. He also spent yesterday at Wood Farm Cottage where he will stay temporarily.

Meanwhile, police have launched a criminal investigation into Mandelson, who is accused of passing market-sensitive government information to Epstein when he was business secretary in 2009. While Mandelson has not responded, his position is that he denies in engaging in criminal behaviour.

The fomer US ambassador has stepped down from the House of Lords. On Sunday, Mandelson reiterated his regret for “ever having known Epstein” and for continuing his association with the convicted paedophile.

Piers tore into Andrew and Mandelson as he shared the front pages, which dubbed the pair “Princes of Darkness”.

Sharing a photo of The Sun’s cover on Wednesday (Febuary 4), he issued a brutal tweet in view of his 8.7 million followers.

He wrote: “Powerful front page… Britain is enduring the greatest Royal and Political scandals of my lifetime – both fuelled by weak, greedy, sleazeballs corrupted by the same paedophile U.S. financier. It’s shocking and getting worse by the day.”

Piers’ comments come after explosive details released by the US Department of Justice (DOJ) on Friday, showed photos of the former Duke of York in the Epstein files on all fours, bent over an unidentified woman, while a separate image of Peter Mandelson is seen in his underwear.

Both photos are believed to have been taken at Epstein’s homes, with Andrew’s at his residence in New York City, while Mandelson’s photo was reportedly taken in Paris.

The Metropolitan Police confirmed an investigation has been launched into alleged misconduct in public office, in regard to Mandelson.

A government spokesperson says: “The government stands ready to provide whatever support and assistance the police need.”
