DWP to give all PIP claimants extra cash – some to get £371 | Personal Finance | Finance
People receiving Personal Independence Payment (PIP) are set for extra cash boosts of up to approximately £371.
The benefit provides financial assistance to those with additional care or mobility requirements due to a disability or long-term health condition.
From April 6, PIP payments will increase by 3.8%. At the moment, PIP ranges from £29.20 to £187.45 per week, with payments usually made every four weeks, resulting in awards between £116.80 and £749.80.
Recipients of the highest awards currently receive around just over £9,747 annually.
When the new financial year begins, this will increase to approximately £10,119 annually – a rise of just over £371.
Those receiving the lowest award (standard mobility component only) will see an annual increase of £57.20.
How much PIP will increase by from April 6, 2026.
Enhanced: £114.60 (from £110.40)
Standard: £76.70 (from £73.90)
Enhanced: £80.00 (from £77.05)
Standard: £30.30 (from £29.20)
PIP payment combinations from April 6, 2026
There are eight possible awards:
Standard daily living only – £76.70 per week, £306.80 per pay period
Enhanced daily living only – £114.60 per week, £458.40 per pay period
Standard mobility only – £30.30 per week, £121.20 per pay period
Enhanced mobility only – £80.00 per week, £320.00 per pay period
Standard daily living and standard mobility – £107 per week, £428 per pay period
Enhanced daily living and enhanced mobility – £194.60 per week, £778.40 per pay period
Standard daily living and enhanced mobility – £156.70 per week, £626.80 per pay period
Enhanced daily living and standard mobility – £144.90 per week, £579.60 per pay period
