There are so many British cities to explore each with its own identity, but one historic city is possibly the most beautiful in England. The streets offer a timeless vibe and pleasant pace, boasting an array of independent shops and high-end favourites — and if you’re looking to eat out, you’ll also be spoiled for choice.
But now, Bath in Somerset is set to become even more of a tourist hotspot as people realise this charming city has provided iconic backdrops for some of Netflix’s biggest new releases. Parts of the global hit show Bridgerton were filmed on the streets of this Georgian city — and with the new series now steaming on Netflix, fans may spot some Bath locations. The three-part Agatha Christie Netflix adaptation ‘Seven Dials’, starring Mia McKenna Bruce, Helena Bonham Carter and Martin Freeman, was also filmed in this wonderful city.

I visited last year and not for the first time, as I live in a neighbouring county, however, this beautiful place always takes my breath away. It has a wealthy air, but everyday locals live in Bath too.
The city seems clean and safe with plenty of unique shops to browse or shop in. Stunning residential spots like the Royal Crescent in Bath date back to the 1700s, making ideal film sets for period dramas.
Property on Bath’s Royal Crescent has an average sale price of £585,000, according to Rightmove, but if that’s out of your price range, you can still stay a while in some beautiful period holiday properties while exploring these filming locations.
You can actually step inside No.1 Royal Crescent, home to the Featherington family from Bridgerton. This curved street also provided an impressive backdrop for many of the show’s most well-loved scenes.
The Georgian house, No.1 Royal Crescent, has been transformed into a museum, decorated and furnished as it might have been in the late 1700s, allowing visitors to “step into the lives of the Featheringtons”.

Netflix’s and BBC’s newest releases seem to have set the city up to become the UK’s “next biggest tourism destination” in 2026, but Bath has already been a big draw for holidaymakers with its historical sights, unique Roman Baths and links to English novelist, Jane Austen.
To help fans plan the ultimate getaway and step foot into Bridgerton and Seven Dials, a UK holiday lodge provider has conducted an internet deep-dive into the Georgian city’s most iconic filming locations from both hit shows.
There are five filming locations in Bath that tourists must visit, according to research by holidaylodges.co.uk.
At the city’s North Parade Buildings, you can trace the steps of Martin Freeman and Mia McKenna Bruce where these honey-coloured old buildings form part of a Grade II listed Georgian terrace.
The tree-lined area is close to Bath Abbey that also features on screen in Agatha Christie’s Seven Dials.
The picturesque North Parade Buildings can be spotted during a scene where ‘Bundle’ (played by Bruce) follows Superintendent Battle (Freeman).

Next, Bath’s Great Pulteney Street is the backdrop for Seven Dials’ fast-paced car chase scene. This is often hailed as the city’s grandest street, leading to the awesome Pulteney Bridge.
This spot is also a great starting place for fans looking to explore Bridgerton filming locations, with The Holbourne Museum and the Royal Crescent located just a short walk away.
The cobbled square of Abbey Green in the city featured in both Seven Dials and Bridgerton, making it a must-visit for period drama fans. In Bridgerton, the Abbey Deli exterior in this area was used for the ‘Modiste’ dress shop.
Then, at The Holbourne Museum, visitors can explore Lady Danbury’s far-from-humble abode, in this spot, walk around the elegant exterior and beautiful gardens of the museum as if you were at Lady Danbury’s lavish residence in Bridgerton.
