Murder probe launched after police swarm Asda Express garage | UK | News

A murder investigation has been launched following the death of a man at a petrol station in Seaham. A vehicle is believed to have crashed into a pedestrian on the forecourt of the Asda Express garage on Stockton Road, County Durham, at around 4.50pm on Thursday.

Police, paramedics, and firefighters rushd to the scene and cordoned off the garage, which Durham Constabular said would likely be up for a while. The pedestrian, a man in his 20s, was seriously injured and sadly pronounced dead at the scene. A photo capturing the aftermath showed that the garage window had been smashed.

Three people have since been arrested, while forensic officers carry out their investigation into the incident.

Officers and the cordon remain at the scene, as well as a blue forensic tent and a green sheet covering the store.

Stockton Road is also still closed between the garage and The Mallard pub.

Forensic officers began carrying out investigations and a photo from the scene showed that the garage window had been smashed.
