Last chance for PS Plus subscribers to claim five free games | Gaming | Entertainment
PlayStation Plus subscribers have just days to claim five free games before they leave the service forever. It comes after Sony broke its usual pattern of releasing three titles each month, giving subscribers two additional games to celebrate the Christmas holidays.
Once redeemed, the games will be in your library permanently, although you’ll have to be a subscriber in order to access them. Here’s everything you need to know about the games leaving the PS Plus Essentials tier.
The following games will leave PS Plus Essentials on the morning of January 6, so keep this date in your diaries.
- LEGO Horizon Adventures
- Killing Floor 3
- The Outlast Trials
- Synduality: Echo of Ada
- Neon White
For those unfamiliar with the outgoing titles, LEGO Horizon Adventures is a co-op action game that retells the story of PlayStation exclusive Horizon Zero Dawn, reimagined with a more family-friendly tone.
Then there’s Killing Floor 3, a co-op first-person shooter that throws players into frantic, action-packed battles against hordes of terrifying monsters.
Sticking with horror, The Outlast Trials brings back the tense atmosphere and core gameplay of the original Outlast games in a co-op setting. Exploring haunted locations filled with nightmarish creatures alongside friends is just as unsettling as it sounds.
Synduality: Echo of Ada, released just last year, is an anime sci-fi extraction shooter that is a fun time for all, especially for PS Plus subscribers when playing it is completely free-of-charge.
Last but not least is speedrunning hidden gem, Neon White. A unique first-person shooter where players have to spend cards to perform actions, making each level intense and thrilling, but also somewhat of a puzzle.
Throw in an engaging story, and a remarkably striking anime style, it comes to no surprise the game earned such critical acclaim back when it originally launched just four years ago.
The titles will be replaced by the January 2026 freebies, which include Need for Speed: Unbound, Disney Epic Mickey: Rebrushed, and Core Keeper.
