Homes in Skegness have been evacuated after a fire broke out in the popular seaside town. The blaze broke out in the Old Wainfleet Road area on Monday afternoon. Eyewitnesses said emergency services arrived to the area near Bubble Car Wash and Valeting Lt, with others claiming to have heard explosions. 

However, this has not been confirmed by the fire service. Homes on Wainfleet Road were also evacuated as a precaution, Lincolnshire World reported. Smoke could be seen across town and locals have been urged to avoid Old Wainfleet Road while the fire is tackled.
