King Charles ‘eager to get to know’ Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet | Royal | News

King Charles is keen on “getting to know” his two youngest grandchildren better, it has been claimed. The 77-year-old is known to share a close bond with Prince George, 12, Princess Charlotte, 10, and seven-year-old Prince Louis, with an insider suggesting to a US news site that he would like to experience the same bond with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s two children.

Prince Harry, 41, and Meghan, 44, are proud parents to Prince Archie, six, and four-year-old Princess Lilibet. Unlike the Prince and Princess of Wales and their children, Harry and Meghan have lived in in California with their children since 2020.

Due to the distance, and Harry’s fear over their safety in the UK, the King is thought to have last spent time with Archie and Lilibet in June 2022.

According to the National Examiner, an insider said: “He cherishes the relationship he has with [George, Charlotte and Louis].

“But it’s bittersweet because he doesn’t know Harry’s two [Archie and Lilibet] at all.”

They added: “Charles can’t wait forever to form a bond with [Harry’s kids]”.

It was previously reported that Harry felt it was unsafe to bring his family to the UK, with the situation previously said to be “weighing on” the King.

The source added: “The situation weighs on Charles a lot more than he lets on.

“These are his grandchildren, his flesh and blood. He wants to get to know them in the time he has left.”

While Harry and Meghan remained in the US with their children this week, the King spent Christmas Day with George, Charlotte and Louis at the Sandringham estate.
