Ditch your dish and get ‘ultimate’ Sky upgrade at price that will surprise you
If you fancy getting some extra things to watch this Christmas, then it might be a good time to switch over to Sky. The telly firm has just announced some stellar new deals with prices starting from as little as £15 per month for a basic plan and just £30 per month for the Ultimate TV and Sky Cinema option. That more expensive bundle includes all of Sky’s movie services along with over 100 other channels such as Sky Atlantic, Sky Documentaries, Sky Comedy and Sky Showcase.
It’s a decent offer, and there is another bonus as it features Sky’s Stream box as well. This diddy set-top device connects to the web rather than needing an aerial. That means it can be DIY installed and doesn’t need an engineer to visit and start drilling holes in the wall.

There’s also the ability to sort shows and movies to watch at a later date in the Playlists section and full voice search helps you find things more easily.

Of course, if you don’t fancy paying a monthly subscription, then there is another option. Freely also offers full access to shows and movies without the need for an aerial.
At launch, it was only available via dedicated TVs, but the latest update from Netgem now offers free access via something called the PLEIO Puck.
This small device pops into the HDMI port and brings full Freely services to any screen.
