A flight laden with passengers enroute to a holiday in Tenerife had to be given priority landing after a cabin crew member was reportedly attacked today. The shocking incident happened onboard a flight from Edinburgh to the tourist hotspot when a fight broke out.
It is believed that the crew asked for medical assistance and the presence of the police upon arrival at the airport. As reported by air traffic controllers on the social network ‘X’, during the journey there was a fight in which, apparently, a cabin crew member (TCP) was attacked. Faced with the situation, the crew asked for medical assistance and the presence of the police upon arrival at the airport.
Their post from an account called said: “Incident on board flight from Edinburgh arriving at Tenerife South.
“The crew requests medical assistance and police presence upon arrival due to a fight where, apparently, the flight attendant was assaulted.
“We prioritize shortening their approach to the maximum while coordinating ground assistance with the airport.
“All our support to the crew and passengers who have to endure these such unpleasant situations.”
The flight is understood to have been a Jet2 flight. The Daily Express have approached Jet2 for comment.
For the moment, no further details have emerged about the status of the TCP or about possible arrests or sanctions.
