Donald Trump’s ‘disgusting’ habit in bed exposed as health fears soar | World | News
Donald Trump has once again sparked controversy, but this time for something far away from his politics, instead coming under fire for his “disgusting” habit while in the bedroom. According to Michael Wolff, a writer who was allowed months of exclusive access inside the White House, Trump started a “major kerfuffle” when he and his family first moved into the President‘s home in 2017.
Speaking on his Inside Trump’s Head podcast, Wolff claims that Trump hates to eat in the dining room, preferring to eat his meals in the privacy of his bedroom – something that caused chaos for White House staff used to the more standard dining procedures, reports the Irish Star. He said: “[Trump] liked to eat in his bedroom. In the bed, I suppose. When he originally got there, it really sounded like he was, you know, like the feral child.”
Trump is said to specifically be a big fan of chowing down on a McDonald’s meal while tucked up under his sheets, with the President often sending out for a cheeseburger from his local Maccies.
When questioned on the safety risks of ordering fast food, he said that Trump liked McDonald’s because of its lack of human contact, denying that the President ever used a food tester when ordering his Big Mac meals.
“Well, his food tester is Mr McDonald,” added Wolff. “One of the reasons that he likes McDonald’s is that all this food is prepackaged, and nobody’s hands touch it. Therefore, it’s much safer.”
Trump is a well-documented fan of the golden arches, having even once described himself as one of the “all-time most loyal customers”, having even appeared at the McDonald’s summit.
His long-rumoured order was also revealed by his son-in-law Jared Kushner in his 2022 book, revealing that while Trump is cosy in bed, he’ll tuck into a Big Mac, a Filet-O-Fish, some fries, and a vanilla shake.
Trump’s love of burgers extends so far that Wolff even claimed the President ditched the traditional Thanksgiving turkey for a beef patty between two slices of bread.
He added: “I would say if orderly eating is somewhat of a broad palate, he certainly does. I mean, it’s incredibly limited. It’s basically limited to… beef.”
“I think he’s having a hamburger for Thanksgiving.”
The writer also revealed that away from burgers, he’s also a fan of a buffet, but not the hotel style.
Wolf added: “There’s the hams, the pork station, the beef station, and the lobster station. They speak of this as a real kind of achievement to be able to go to the buffet at the golf club.”
The President’s revealed eating habits come in the midst of some soaring health fears, as the oldest president to be elected to office, the 79-year-old’s health is often in question.
In September, Trump had to come out to confirm he was alive after rumours on social media circulated that he had fallen ill and died after he seemingly took a brief step back while he battled an illness.
Trump also revealed he would reveal the results of an MRI scan from last month, which he claimed was “perfect,” despite no more information on what was actually scanned.
