When is Knives Out 3 coming out on Netflix? | Films | Entertainment

Daniel Craig is back on the silver screen reprising his role as the brilliant detective Benoit Blanc in a brand new murder mystery.

The Knives Out series has expanded with the addition of Wake Up Dead Man, a follow-up to the 2022 sequel, Glass Onion.

Penned and directed by Oscar nominee Rian Johnson, the third instalment sees Blanc tackling his most challenging case yet.

Set within a New York church, the plot revolves around the mysterious death of a monsignor, leaving a priest as the main suspect. But, as is typical with all Knives Out mysteries, there’s more to this crime than what initially appears.

Thriller enthusiasts will be pleased to know that Wake Up Dead Man hit the cinemas this week. Here’s how you can watch it, reports the Mirror.

Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery is now showing in select UK cinemas, which can be found using Netflix‘s convenient cinema-finder site.

The film isn’t being screened in popular cinema chains such as Odeon, Vue and Cineworld. However, it is available in smaller chains like Everyman, Picturehouse, Showcase, Omniplex and Curzon.

The thriller is also being shown in independent cinemas, so it’s worth checking your local theatres.

Following its cinema release, Wake Up Dead Man will be available for global streaming on Netflix from 12 December.

Regarding how long the thriller will remain in cinemas following its streaming debut, writer-director Johnson recently tweeted that “it can absolutely stay in theatres after the 12/12 Netflix drop if there’s demand – it’s up to the theatres to decide”.

Just days following its premiere, the whodunit has already been praised as one of the year’s finest films.

Rotten Tomatoes critics bestowed upon it an exceptional 95% rating alongside a glowing critique.

They gushed: “Giving Benoit Blanc a worthy mystery with its genuinely soulful fixation on faith and a scene-stealing Josh O’Connor performance, Wake Up Dead Man is another Knives Out puzzle that comes together splendidly.”

Meanwhile, one cinema-goer wrote: “Rian Johnson is a genius! I suspect that his latest Knives Out mystery thriller would earn Agatha Christie’s stamp of approval.

“The cast, the story, the visuals, the themes of faith, temptation, hypocrisy and redemption…all brilliant! One of the best films of the year!”

Craig appears alongside an impressive ensemble cast, featuring Josh O’Connor, Cailee Spaeny, Kerry Washington, Glenn Close, and Daryl McCormack – amongst others.

Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery is in select UK cinemas now. The thriller will be available to stream on Netflix from December 12.
