UK weather maps show 521 miles of snow – these counties will miss out | Weather | News

Chilly weather is on the way for Brits with latest weather maps showing snow is on the way.

Maps from WXCHARTS show that on November 21, snowfall could stretch from the northernmost parts of Scotland all the way down to Stoke-on-Trent.

The maps show a huge stretch of purple indicating the areas to be hit by the colder weather.

Maps show a 521-mile stretch of snow from John O’ Groats to Stoke-on-Trent.

At 6am, large parts of England will see rainfall with snowfall mainly sticking to Scotland.

By 12 noon, the maps show that patches of snow could be seen in other parts of England.

Some snowfall could be seen across the Lake District, wider parts of Cumbria, Scarborough and Redcar.

A Met Office forecast says: “Colder conditions, already affecting the far north of the UK are likely to extend south to affect all pasts through the early part of the period.

“Initially we may see some less cold conditions with some cloud, rain and possibly hill snow affecting parts of the west.

“It is as this clears later Tuesday that the colder conditions will extend south, bringing some snow showers into northern parts, and the first frosts of the season for many parts of the south.

“Later in the period there is increasing uncertainty, but a trend towards more changeable conditions is possible, with some rain or showers in places, and perhaps some hill snow at times in the north. Temperatures overall likely to return to near-average.”
