High-end knitwear brand Brora has a large range of gorgeous colourful cardigans, jumpers and other items on sale. With cardigans for as little as £49, shoppers can get their hands on a classic item from the luxury brand for a third of their usual price.

Brora was founded in 1993 and creates luxury Scottish cashmere knitwear and clothing for men, women and children, all crafted sustainably in the UK. Named Brora due to its founder Victoria Stapleton’s family involvement with Hunters of Brora, a historic tweed mill in the Highland area of Scotland, the brand has been seen on Claudia Winkleman and Dame Joanna Lumley, making it a luxurious choice for gifting to loved ones.

For starters, shoppers will have to move fast for a Lambswool Cotton Fair Isle Tank, which is reduced from £149 to £59. Knitted using an all-new lambswool-cotton blend that is organic, biodegradable and renewable, it features a flattering V-neck and Fair Isle design.

Also on sale is a Cashmere Gauzy Shawl Cardigan in a sumptuous red colour, which is now much less than its usual price of £365, at £198. Also available in a range of other colours, it is described as super soft with a chic shawl neckline. 

Another bargain is the Needlecord Straight Leg Trousers at £69, again more than half its original price, which was £179. The straight-leg trousers are made from Italian-woven cotton needlecord and are available in either green or pink.

Fashion fans will be delighted to see a stunning embroidered tulle dress in the sale. Shoppers can choose from classic black or a deep emerald green, with the dress featuring a flattering scoop neck, intricate cotton embroidery, feminine frills at the shoulders and a keyhole back. It is now £69 – a huge saving on its usual price of £285.

A Geranium pink Cashmere Gauzy Round Neck Jumper can be bought for £198, a big saving on its original price of £349. The luxurious, loose-fit jumper features long, ribbed cuffs and can also be bought in a Camel or Midnight colour.

Ideal as a cosy cover up for winter, Brora’s Cashmere Ribbed Poncho is also part of the sale and is now £229, down from £395. With a variety of colour options including cream, olive and navy, the funnel neck poncho features a textured rib design and is made from Scottish cashmere.

At the more expensive end of the scale, a Cashmere Ribbed Dressing Gown is also part of the sale. Reduced to £649 from its usual price of £1,089, this luxury item is made of the very finest and sumptuously soft cashmere to make getting out of bed in the morning that bit more bearable.

With the Christmas party season almost here, a Silk Velvet Dress is proving popular, and is reduced to £149 from £379. Made from lustrous silk velvet, the deep navy dress was inspired by a 1930s vintage find and revamped with short, ruched sleeves, shirring on the shoulders and a flattering boat neckline.

Another perfect party-wear piece is the Silk Velvet Blouse, now £89 – a big reduction from its original £245 price. Made from a lustrous silk velvet, it is finished with knife pleat details and a keyhole back fastening, while it has a floaty shape. There are two colour options – Navy or Pink Tourmaline.

Another dress in the sale is the Supersoft Lambswool Knitted Dress at £98, a third of its usual price of £295. Also inspired by a vintage find, this back dress is knitted in superfine lambswool and is finished with a striking contrasting electric blue collar and ribbed patch pockets.

A pair of Tailored Straight Leg Trousers can be snapped up for £89, a big saving from their original price of £245. These trousers are made from a lustrous wool blend in a dark Midnight colour and could be styled with a blouse or knitwear on top for a smart-casual look.

Brora fans after a bargain can look at the Cotton Knit Stripe Cardigan which has been reduced to £49, a third of its usual price of £149. The red and ecru striped cardigan is described as offering a very Brora spin on a traditional Breton knit, with added pointelle details and feminine frill cuffs.

Another cardigan, the Cashmere Contrast Sleeve Cardigan is now available for £198, a saving of almost half of its original price of £379. In green with a cream stripe on the arms, it is made from soft Scottish cashmere, creating a super-chic layer to be worn on repeat.

A similar style is the Cashmere V Neck Cardigan, reduced to £239 from £459. Available in a range of colours, it features a low V-neckline with four buttons and deep ribbing on the skirt and cuffs.

Another brand with a strong knitwear game is White Stuff, which also has several pieces on sale. Its Clara Cashmere Jumper can be bought for £104, down from its original price of £130. Made of 100% cashmere, is a lovely blue colour, with contrast chunky nay stripes on the arms and a V neck.

Boden also has some great discounts on its knitwear, with its Lydia Cashmere Jumper reduced from £199 to £179.10 if shoppers use the code C7R7. This oatmeal jumper has a fun and playful Fair Isle design, and offers a cosy winter staple that can be dressed up or down.

Brora fans have left plenty of glowing reviews on the brand’s website in praise of the items on sale. One of the many 5 star reviews said: “I could not resist the beautiful soft grey cashmere cardigan in the sale. It goes with the many dresses and separates I already have from Brora and is a pleasure to own.”

Another read: “I am delighted with the quality of this garment. It is so warm and soft. Just the colour I love. So versatile.”

And one said: “The cardigan perfectly fits me, the colour is marvellous and the wool extremely soft. I would rather spend a little more on quality like this rather than buying cheaper stuff that would soon disappoint.”

One said their item “was larger than I thought” but they added that they still “love it”. “A piece I will have forever,” they added.

And another had a slight issue with the fit, writing: “Great cardigan, in my opinion comes up large so I sized down.”
