One of the biggest games of the year (quite literally) looks like it’s coming to Nintendo Switch 2 in December.
According to a new report, Assassin’s Creed Shadows will make its Switch 2 debut on December 5, which is just in time for Christmas.
Pre-orders for the giant open-world action game will reportedly go live in November, and the physical release will supposedly come on a Game-Key Card. This is similar to the release of fellow Ubisoft game Star Wars Outlaws.
The news was revealed by trusted insider Billbil-Kun on Dealabs, where it’s claimed the game will cost around €50 in Europe.
Despite some negative press running up to launch, Assassin’s Creed Shadows was well received by fans and critics.
It currently has an impressive 81% score on Metacritic, and has sold millions of copies on PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC.
The game sees players control two protagonists, including samurai Yasuke and the ninja Naoe.
“Play as Naoe, a quick-witted shinobi, and use light, sound, and shadows to evade detection,” reads the official description.
“Infiltrate enemy strongholds with many parkour options including the new grappling hook, distract guards with shuriken or smoke bombs, and assassinate your targets with your Hidden Blade.
“As the samurai Yasuke, use silent bow takedowns or unleash devastating melee combos with your katana or naginata.”
