The M60 is closed as a police incident unfolds on the motorway near Eccles, Greater Manchester.

National Highways North West spokesperson wrote on X: “The M60 anti-clockwise is closed between J12 M602 and J10 Trafford Park for a police incident. Diversion via ‘Hollow Circle’.

A National Highways spokesperson added: “If this closure impacts on your planned route, please allow extra journey time.

“Plan ahead, you may wish to re-route or even delay your journey.”
