UK city named in list of world’s best for nightlife – not London | UK | Travel
The best cities in the world for nightlife have been revealed, with one UK city making it onto the list. Brighton, which placed seventh in the ranking, landed in the top ten. Perhaps rather unsurprisingly, the number one spot went to Las Vegas, famed for its bars, nightclubs, and casinos.
The rankings were revealed by TimeOut, which shared the top 20 cities in the world for those looking for the best nightlife. They quizzed thousands of people in hundreds of the world’s best cities, asking them to rate the nightlife on offer in their city, including clubs, bars, and other nighttime entertainment.
The experts then crunched the data and determined the top 20 cities across the world.
Brighton was the sole UK city to make the list, having previously been named in Time Out’s list of the world’s top 50 cities. This seaside city is incredibly popular for all types of people, including those looking for a good night out.
From beachfront clubs and wine and cocktail bars, to cabaret shows located in old ballrooms, Brighton certainly has plenty of nightlife on offer, whatever your preferences are.
The Tempest Inn, a beachfront bar with a cave interior, has rave reviews on TripAdvisor, with one visitor writing: “Came here for Forro dance (upstairs) … really lovely venue and enjoyed a few drinks. Great central location, really nice internally, really top quality venue.”
While a visitor to the cocktail and wine bar Bar Medusa wrote: “I recently visited this bar and was left with a gorgeous impression. Everything was wonderful, from the friendly and welcoming staff to the delicious cocktails. ‘Picasso’ was stunning and become my favorite cocktail. I will definitely come here again.”
And a review of Brighton’s Haus of Cabaret reads: “Went for our anniversary not sure what to expect but had a great time was very funny Ruby our waitress was great kept us topped up with food and drink will definitely be going again.”
