Newcastle United have left the negotiating table after seeing an opening bid rejected for Hugo Ekitike.

Fabrizio Romano claims that the deal is now considered ‘off’.

Liverpool want to sign Newcastle striker Alexander Isak, and they informed the Magpies that they would hijack their move for Ekitike if they refused to sell the Swede.

And it seems like the Toon are refusing to be held to ransom, with senior figures at St. James’ Park moving on to other striker targets.

Isak, as far as Newcastle are concerned, is not for sale.
