Touching way Meghan Markle included Archie and Lilibet in her Netflix show | Royal | News
Meghan Markle‘s children reportedly played a minor role in the recording of her new Netflix show, With Love, Meghan, according to a crew member who worked on the show’s first series. The first eight episodes, which aired back in March, showed the former actress sharing cooking, gardening and hosting tips in the presence of various well-known friends.
Prince Archie, 6, and Princess Lilibet, 4, reportedly joined their dad, Prince Harry, in occasionally visiting their mum on set, with the location of filming a short distance from their home in Montecito. Speaking about the set, an anonymous member of the filming crew told PEOPLE: “Whenever Harry visited the set, he was always super polite and friendly, but it was clear he wanted this to be Meghan’s moment to shine.”
Speaking about Archie and Lilibet, they added that Meghan’s children got a little involved with the audio recording, despite not making an official appearance in the series.
They said: “She [Meghan] was super attentive and doting on them. We would give them headphones so they could listen to audio.”
Meghan also made various references to her children in the series, revealing in episode five that her daughter had helped her prepare some strawberry preserves.
Speaking to her guests, Abigail Spencer and Kelly McKee Zajfen, Meghan said: “Lili and I actually made this batch together.
“She picked berries with me, saying: ‘No, no mama, I’ll do it.’… She’s proud.”
In a previous exclusive interview with PEOPLE, Meghan revealed that her son also had a separate role in the series.
She told the publication: “Archie did the filming clapboard! Sweet moments.”
Since the first series aired, it has been confirmed that a second series will be released later this year. Meghan has also recently begun to release more pictures of her children, something that Harry reportedly now feels “happy” about.
