Sky TV just got much more affordable but something even ‘better’ is coming soon

If you’ve been thinking about buying a new TV for your living room, now could be a good time to invest. Sky has just confirmed a massive price cut for anyone taking delivery of its smart Glass televisions, making these connected screens more affordable. Right now, you can grab a 43-inch Sky Glass model for just £27 per month. That price includes the 4K television along with over 100 channels with Sky Atlantic plus there is Netflix access, and Discovery+ thrown in as well.

Sky says that this discount will save you £96 off the standard price over the four-year contract. If you want something bigger then the 55-inch screen is now £32 per month and you can take delivery of the 65-inch model for £37 per month. Both of these deals also save £96.

For those not aware, Sky Glass is an all-in-one system that uses your broadband rather than a dish to beam content to the 4K screen. There’s a built-in soundbar, and it offers easy access to live and on-demand shows, along with recommendations for things to watch and a way to record things via Playlists.

There’s clearly lots to like about Sky’s latest deal, but it does come with a warning. Sky recently confirmed to Express.co.uk that something ‘better’ is on its way.

The telly firm is holding a major launch event next month where it will reveal something totally new.

“Hello from Sky,” said the email sent to Express.co.uk.

“Be one of the first to see what’s next. Smarter, brighter and better than ever.”

The big showcase could be a new Sky Q box or a refresh to the popular Sky Stream device.

However, the fact that the invite says ‘brighter’ has also got us thinking that a new Sky Glass telly could also be on its way.

Express.co.uk will be at the Sky event in February and will bring you all the news live. If you think you’re in need of a new set-top box or pin-sharp telly, watch this space.
