World’s richest darts player worth 10 times more than Luke Littler | UK | Travel
Luke Littler is one of the most famous sportspeople in the UK after making his debut at the PDC World Championships last time out.
The teenage sensation beat Brendan Dolan, Rob Cross and his own childhood hero, Raymond van Barneveld, on his way to the final, where Luke Humphries beat him.
Now, after coming second in the Sports Personality of the Year last night, Luke is set to play his first match of this year’s championships on Saturday.
Darts tournaments can prove lucrative, as players win hefty cash prizes in televised competitions.
Luke has won 10 senior PDC titles, including the Premier League earlier in 2024.
According to talkSPORT, the 17-year-old is estimated to have a net worth of just over £1 million heading into this year’s World Championships.
He could add a maximum of £500,000 to this soon.
Luke is the bookies’ favourite to win the competition at 9/4, according to Oddschecker.
His rival Humphries is currently at 10/3, while Scot Gary Anderson and legend Michael Van Gerwen sit at 10/1 and 11/1, respectively.
According to Sport Bible, MVG’s net worth is $8 million (£6.29 million). The Dutchman is a three-time PDC world champion.
Anderson, meanwhile, is said to be worth $3million (£2.36million). He is a two-time back-to-back PDC world champion.
However, out in front as the richest darts player is also perhaps the most famous.
Phil ‘The Power’ Taylor has made millions after the most successful darting career ever.
He won 214 professional tournaments and 16 world championships.
Now, his net worth is approximately $10 million (£7.87 million).
Since his success, Littler and his family have reportedly upgraded their home, moving from a £180,000 two-bed property to a rented five-bedroom house on Millionaire’s Row, Warrington.
It costs £6,000 monthly and boasts an indoor pool, large garden, home cinema and six bathrooms.
The rent is also believed to cover pool maintenance and a gardener.
