£28 ‘flawless’ foundation is ‘perfect for dry, mature skin’

A foundation from beauty brand Sculpted By Aimee that launched at the start of the month has had shoppers in awe of its results. Beauty fans are raving about the Cream Cushion Foundation‘s finish that seamlessly blends into skin without accentuating fine lines or wrinkles.

The Cream Cushion Foundation is priced at £28 and comes in an impressive array of 30 shades. The brand also offers the foundation in three different undertones ranging from cool, neutral, and golden.

The foundation boasts a buildable formula that allows users to tailor the coverage to their liking, whether it’s a light glow for ‘no makeup-makeup’ days or slightly heavier coverage for party glamour.

With its next-gen technology, the brand explains how the ‘Cream Cushion’s mesh applicator releases the perfect amount of product with every press. Unlike traditional cushion foundations, it’s smarter, cleaner and puts you in complete control of your coverage’.

While its finish is great for coverage of dark spots, pimple, pigmentation and more, its skin-friendly ingredients are designed to enhance the appearance and texture of skin over time. Enriched with niacinamide, longwear polymers, vitamin E, and SPF 30, it also works to hydrate, smooth, protect, and support skin from morning till late-night.

For beauty fans after a similar product, the TirTir Mask Fit Red Cushion is available from Boots for £21. Similarly infused with nutrient rich ingredients, it contains hibiscus sabdariffa flower extract, propolis extract, and astaxanthin, this product nourishes the skin while ensuring your base makeup stays put, reports the Manchester Evening News.

Alternatively, make-up lovers rave about the Estee Lauder Double Wear Stay-in-Place Foundation which costs £39.50 at Lookfantastic. This product claims to even out skin tone and cover imperfections with buildable, medium-to-full coverage that feels light and comfortable.

However, at £28, the Sculpted By Aimee Cream Cushion Foundation has received some stellar reviews, with an overall star-rating of 4.9 out of five, with many people loving its formula on their mature skin.

One shopper shared: “I’m seriously impressed! The formula is smooth, blendable, and gives such a natural finish without feeling heavy on the skin.

“What I love most is how it manages to provide great coverage while still looking fresh and breathable throughout the day—no cakiness or settling into fine lines.

“It also feels hydrating, which makes it perfect for all-day wear. Another huge plus is how versatile it is—you can build it up for full coverage or keep it light for a more everyday, effortless look. My skin felt comfortable and even looked healthier after using it. Overall, this foundation has quickly become a staple in my routine. It’s definitely one of those rare products that checks all the boxes: beautiful finish, lasting power, and skin-friendly feel.”

Another pleased customer shared: “I tried this new product over a period of a few weeks and I love it. It’s super lightweight and long lasting. As I work in the sky as cabin crew, I found it lasted for hours on end and it kept skin hydrated throughout long flights.”

A third wrote: “Lightweight feel with buildable coverage. Super glowy and hydrating on the skin, perfect for dry/mature skins.”

“I was fortunate enough to try this before it hit the market and oh my gosh it is absolutely stunning,” another user wrote. “It’s unlike any cushion foundation out there! It’s super lightweight and very skin-like! My skin looked fantastic and not cakey which I feel other cushion foundations do. Would absolutely buy this again.”

While the majority of comments on this Cream Cushion Foundation have been pretty positive, one customer did give it a four-star rating sharing how it left their skin a little too shiny. They said: “Really like this product. Lightweight feel on my skin, buildable depending on the coverage I want each day. It does leave my oily skin a little too shiny for my liking personally but I just top it off with some powder. Would definitely recommend!”

Another stated: “Lovely product but would prefer if coverage was heavier. I found the puff pad absorbed more of the product than what transferred to face for top ups. Make up brush is definitely required for both.”

However for the most part, shoppers felt it was the ‘best cushion foundation I’ve tried’, with one person raving: “It’s like magic, the colour match is amazing and adds a beautiful glow and coverage.

“I found it to be long-lasting especially when set properly with a light powder on top. Overall made my skin look flawless and was complimented on my foundation.”
